Denis Santachiara, atypical designer and outsider on the international scene, famous for his works between art and design, exhibited in museums and events all over the world, is an artist with a thousand faces with whom the Vezzosi team has collaborated for the design and production of completely unique complements.
Guest at the Venice Biennale already in the early eighties, he is present with permanent collections at Moma in New York, at the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Arts, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs of the Louvre and at the Milan Triennale.
When we talk about Denis Santachiara, we start from the concept of “surprise”, a term that he himself coined to explain his design, interiors, furnishings and fittings that are truly unique in the project landscape: they are innovative art objects that make transformability not an artificial and falsified feature, but the only possible feature.
If we had to define Santachiara by proposing a synonym for designer, we could bravely use a term that seems coined for him: inventor. And the same applies, of course, to the furniture he himself created.
